Oil Palm

Oil palm is one of the most important plantation crops, widely used as a source of vegetable oil (such as cooking oil), a raw material for the cosmetics and oleochemical industries, and a source of renewable energy (biodiesel). This tropical plant is known for its excellent efficiency and is capable of producing a much higher oil yield per hectare than other vegetable oil-producing crops.
